By this point, most everyone understands what braces are and the benefits of braces. Traditional braces are just brackets, wires, and rubber bands. Braces will help straighten your teeth and make them look better, but will also give you a healthier bite and smile.

Many parents want to know what the right age is to begin orthodontic treatment for the children. The answer is, bring them in and we'll tell you when would be the appropriate time for your child to begin, or if it's necessary at all. We offer free consultations for all of our orthodontic treatments. Sometimes braces may not be appropriate for their age, but something else will be. We can begin planning for orthodontic treatment once their adult teeth are in.

Invisalign Clear Braces

Invisalign is a great option. The technology has come

a long way over the years, and Invisalign can now

quickly correct even very complex cases.

 

We get asked a lot about the difference between

Invisalign and braces. Both are going to be painful

when changes are made. Invisalign is virtually undetectable while being worn. The timeline for Invisalign treatment is also generally shorter. One drawback to Invisalign we've seen for patients is that it requires discipline. It becomes very tempting to remove the invisible aligners for long periods or time, or patients may forget to wear them, but this only delays the results. Invisalign is also more expensive than braces. Invisalign needs to be removed when eating, but there are no restrictions on what you can eat.

We recommend clear aligners for children from ages 10 and up, teenagers, and adults of all ages!
